Exciting news for Brent artists!
The Curate Brent team, a group of 13 emerging curators from the Brent Artist Network (BAN), are thrilled to announce the BAN Open Call 2025: “Brent Creating: Life Of Now.” This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to showcase their work at the Willesden Gallery and be part of a dynamic program celebrating Brent’s diverse creative scene.
The Curate Brent cohort, participating in the Emerging Curators Training Programme funded by Brent Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with CVAN London, will be curating this exhibition. They are passionate about bridging Brent’s past and present, showcasing its rich and evolving identity through the arts.

We are curators from Curate Brent! We are creative practitioners from Brent Artist Network (BAN), each bringing diverse expertise in artistic practice.
Over the next 12 months, we will be curating Willesden Gallery in The Library at Willesden Green, shaping a dynamic program of exhibitions and events.
Our work is part of the Becoming Brent project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which celebrates Brent’s cultural heritage and untold stories. Through curated exhibitions, we aim to bridge Brent’s past and present, showcasing its rich and evolving identity through the arts. Stay tuned for upcoming exhibitions, workshops, and events!
Open Call Details:
Theme: Brent Creating: Life Of Now
Deadline: 25th February 2025, 23:59
Eligibility: Current BAN members (membership open to all practising, non-practising, and aspiring creative practitioners who live or work in Brent
How to Submit: Fill out this form and upload clear images or videos of your work.
Accepted Formats: All forms of art, including physical, digital, multi-media, and performance art.
Size Requirement (Physical Works): Maximum A3, framed.
Limit: One submission per artist.
Notification: Successful applicants will be notified in the first week of March.
