Led by renowned Syrian-born artist Issam Kourbaj, Marking Narratives is a collaborative programme celebrating the creative heritage of Arab and SWANA communities in West London. Through hands-on making and mark-making techniques, participants will explore cultural storytelling, identity, memory, and belonging – all while fostering connection, solidarity, and creative well-being.
The programme is free to attend, and all materials will be provided. We welcome participants of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on individuals and families from Arab and SWANA communities in West London. Whether you have a creative practice or are completely new to art-making, you're warmly invited to take part.
